PROGRAM NO. 5
INTENSIVE CARIBBEAN
Day 01
Arrival to Juan Santamaría International airport, a bilingual driver-guide will be waiting for you to take you to their hotel. Your clients will receive a welcome-orientation kit that will include maps, hotel descriptions and, a comprehensive itinerary as well as emergency contact numbers. Meals on your own. Overnight at the Country Inn & Suites.
Day 02
After an early breakfast, transfer to Pacuare River for an intense one day tour both for those with rafting experience and for those with no-experience. The Sarapiquí River is an excellent option, a class II & III river. In the afternoon, transfer to Selva Bananito Lodge and Private Reserve. Located on the edge of La Amistad National Park, this lodge is very well-known for its attractions and excellent service, as well as the sustainable management. All meals are included.
Day 03
Full day to explore the area, hike on the trails and enjoy swimming in the remote and crystal clear rivers. All meals included. Overnight at Selva Bananito Lodge.
Day 04
Ground transfer from Selva Bananito to Almendros y Corales lodge located on the beautiful beach of Manzanillo and part of Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildife Refuge. This unique lodge was built on the same style of the most re-known lodges and camping sites in Africa. It respected every tree during its construction, and it permits the unique experience to be on the rainforest and at the beach at the same time. Overnight at Almond and Corals Lodge.
Day 05
Full day at Almendros y Corales. Optional tours such as Canopy, kayaking, biking and horseback riding available, or just relax at the beach. Overnight at Almendros y Corales.
Day 06
After breakfast, transfer back to San Jose. Check-in at Country Inn and Suites. Afternoon free to visit the capital city and explore the interesting museums, or just do some shopping.
Day 07
Departure to the airport or optional extension to the cloud forest of Monteverde or San Gerado de Dota.
