RAINFOREST ADVENTURE AND DIVING

Day 1
A Costa Rica Cheap Travel representative will be waiting for you at the international airport for your transfer to the San Jose hotel, where you are going to receive a short briefing of the itinerary and the documents or vouchers for your trip.  You will be staying at Country Inn & Suites.  It is located just a few minutes from San Jose downtown, in one of the oldest districts. 

Day 2
Early in the morning your transfer will pick you up to take you to the Pacuare River. The Pacuare River is one of the top five rafting rivers in the world for its scenery and rapids. This quintessential tropical river is a trip of pure magic, unsurpassed beauty, wildlife and exhilarating rapids. Located on Costa Rica's Atlantic slope, the Pacuare River borders the Talamanca mountain range, home to native Cabecar Indians and an incredible variety of wildlife. After an early morning pickup from your San José hotel, you will drive by private, comfortable bus to our Operations Center for a delicious, typical Costa Rican breakfast. Once at the river at our private put-in, you'll raft 16 miles deep in the heart of densely vegetated gorges, past gushing waterfalls, serene pools and pounding rapids, in one of Costa Rica's most impressive primary rainforests. After an adrenaline-packed afternoon running rapids like Upper and Lower Huacas, Cimarron, Dos Montanas and many more, after we finish, a short drive to Ríos Tropicales Operations Center for a hearty and delicious lunch, showers, optional drinks and souvenir store. On the return drive to San José, you will stay at Hotel Suerre.

Day 3 & 4
Today we are going to send you to Tortuguero, bordered by the Caribbean Sea, Tortuguero National Park contains an incredible network of navigable canals, and boats are the only way to get around.  Mangrove forests that edge the canals are the place to look for wildlife.  The parks 7 km/23 miles of beaches are protected nesting grounds for the green sea turtle (in season from July to October).  It is a memorable experience.  It is also famous for its deep-sea fishing and the Tortuguero canals, a complex of inland rivers that criss-cross mangrove forests.  For the next two days you will have the opportunity of visit one of the hot spots for tourism, a three days/two nights package, with the local tours included, you will be amazed of these great experience.  Overnight at the Mawamba Lodge. 

Day 5
On the way back to San Jose, you are going to stop for lunch at the Rio Danta Restaurant where your private transfer representative will be waiting for your transfer to the Arenal Volcano area. The Arenal Volcano famous for its nighttime lava fireworks, Arenal Volcano towers above a lovely lake of the same name.  The area has plenty of natural activities eco-adventures, and the lake is particularly popular with fishermen and windsurfers.  The thermal springs near Ecotermales offer a refreshing dip any time of the day.  The volcano itself rumbles frequently and, if not socked in the clouds, is very impressive - and just a tad exciting.  You will be staying for 1 night at Arenal Volcano Inn. That night you have Ecotermales Hot springs with dinner and entrance included.

Day 6, 7 & 8
In the morning after breakfast your private transfer will pick you up to take you to the North Pacific of the country to Ocotal Beach Resort. Ocotal is a four-star beachfront resort, a leader among Costa Rica's hotels and resorts, known for its outstanding style, comfort, and service. The property lies along the country's beautiful Northern Pacific coastline and yields breathtaking panoramic views of the Papagayo Gulf. It's also a perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Day 9
In the afternoon your private transfer service will be waiting for you at the lobby of the hotel for your transfer back to San Jose. Overnight at Country Inn & Suites.

Day 10
A Costa Rica Cheap Travel representative will be picking you up three hours prior to you plane departure time for your transfer to the International Airport.
