ITINERARY

DAY 1

Arrival

A Costa Rica Cheap Travel representative will be waiting for you at the international airport for your transfer to the San Jose hotel, where you are going to receive a short briefing of the itinerary and the documents or vouchers for your trip.  You will be staying at Hampton Inn & Suites. It is located 2 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from San Jose downtown.

DAY 2

Pacuare whitewater rafting

You'll depart San José early in the morning, stopping for a delicious breakfast, at the Ríos Tropicales Operations Center, before arriving at the river. Once at the river, your friendly and professional guides will load your gear into dry bags, prepare the equipment and give you complete safety and paddle instruction. The first day's Class III rapids welcome you to the Pacuare gorge's charm as you raft deep in the heart of primary rainforest. While your guides prepare you a hearty picnic lunch on the riverbank, you'll be led through the jungle to an enchanting waterfall and pool to swim.

Before you know it, you'll arrive at the award-winning Ríos Tropicales Lodge where you can spend the afternoon relaxing, hiking or soaking in our waterfall and pools. Nestled in the jungle on our 1,000-acre private reserve, the lodge offers you all the comforts you need in "Cabecar Indian" style bungalows. Electricity is generated by a self-sufficient hydro-plant. Happy Hour will put you in the mood for a tropical evening, followed by a luscious candlelight dinner with wine served by your guides.

DAY 3

Enjoy the Pacuare lodge surroundings and visit the waterfalls

Don't worry about wake-up time. The beauty of the light through the forest, the sound of toucans and the smell of coffee will get you going. This day is designed to enjoy the lodge surroundings. You can choose a variety of hikes - a 4-5 hour hike high into the Pacuare Reserve; a 2-3 hour hike to nearby waterfalls and pools, or short walks near the lodge - or just relax in a hammock and enjoy nature. Experience a side of the Pacuare few people know!

DAY 4

Whitewater rafting in the morning

After a hearty breakfast and loading the rafts, you'll prepare to paddle down the Pacuare gorge past gushing waterfalls, serene pools and pounding rapids. A snack stop by the riverside lets you explore more waterfalls and natural waterslides. An adrenaline-packed afternoon running rapids like Upper and Lower Huacas, Cimarron, Dos Montañas and many more, will have you cheering ecstatically. Hot lunch will be served at the New Ríos Tropicales Operations Center. Showers, changing rooms, cold and hot drinks and snacks are also available.  After lunch your transfer is going to take you to Suerre Hotel.

DAY 5

Tortuguero National Park (Rainforest adventure)

After breakfast the hotel shuttle transfer will pick you up at the hotel to take you to Tortuguero. Tortuguero is bordered by the Caribbean Sea, Tortuguero National Park contains an incredible network of navigable canals, and boats are the only way to get around. It is also famous for its deep-sea fishing and the Tortuguero canals, a complex of inland rivers that criss-cross mangrove forests. For the next two days you will have the opportunity of visit one of the hot spots for tourism, a three days/two nights package, with the local tours included, you will be amazed of these great experience. Overnight at Mawamba Lodge.

DAY 6

Wildlife adventure

Early in the morning you will have included a boat trip through the canals to try to see wildlife. You will come back to the hotel for breakfast and then you will have a walk through the rainforest. In the afternoon you have another boat trip through a different canal.

DAY 7

Arenal Volcano and Baldi Hot springs

On the way back to San Jose you will stop for lunch at Rio Danta Restaurant where your private transfer will be waiting for you to take you to the Arenal Volcano famous for its nighttime lava fireworks, Arenal Volcano towers above a lovely lake of the same name. The area has plenty of natural activities eco-adventures, and the lake is particularly popular with fishermen and windsurfers. The thermal springs near Baldi offer a refreshing dip any time of the day. The volcano itself rumbles frequently and, if not socked in the clouds, is very impressive - and just a tad exciting. At night we include Baldi Hot springs with a delicious dinner. You will be staying for 1 night at Arenal Volcano Inn.

DAY 8

Arenal Mundo Aventura & Manuel Antonio National Park

After breakfast you have include Arenal Mundo Aventura where you are going to do one of the best zip lines in Costa Rica and you will have the opportunity to see the Malekus Indian Village. After lunch your transfer will pick you and take you to Manuel Antonio National Park area. Overnight at Espadilla Hotel. Manuel Antonio National Park is famous for its stunning beaches, two of them sandy beaches named Espadilla Sur and Manuel Antonio. The park encloses 12 rocky islands that are a sanctuary for seabirds and sea creatures (dolphins, whales. Turtles)  lush rainforest and wildlife. Commonly you can see monkeys, sloths, coatimundis and many birds. Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the country’s most visited and beautiful parks. Surrounded by gorgeous nature. The hotel is 5 minutes walking to the beach and 5 minutes walking from the main entrance to the National Park.

DAY 9

Manuel Antonio National Park Tour & Sunset Tour

After breakfast you will go to the National Park where a Naturalist guide will be waiting for you to show you the magnificent Manuel Antonio National Park. In the afternoon we include a beautiful sunset cruise.

DAY 10

Horseback Riding

In the morning we include an amazing Horseback riding tour. You will be back for lunch.

Afternoon free for leisure.

DAY 11

Transfer back to San Jose

In the afternoon your shuttle transfer will pick you up and take you back to San Jose. Overnight at Hampton Inn & Suites

DAY 11

Departure

A Costa Rica Cheap Travel representative will be picking you up three hours prior to you plane departure time for your transfer to the International Airport.
